LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE GOES BLIND FOR 20 MINUTES! – On 7th June (Thursday) there was a delay in Trading on the London Stock Exchange because of a glitch that prevented the opening auction from taking place. The auction is a key component to the start of trade on the London Stock Exchange as it sets the opening prices for stocks, a spokesperson for the London Stock Exchange did in fact confirm that there was a delay and that there would be updates in the future. Some of the trading that takes place in UK listed companies did take place via Cboe Europe, which is the London Stock Exchange’s main rival for trading shares in the London. According to Reuters data, more than 20 minutes after the scheduled time prices for individual stocks that are traded on the London Stock Exchange and major indices, such as the FTSE 100, were unavailable. #SpartanInternational
