JAPAN’S LARGEST BANK OPTS OUT OF LONDON – Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc (MUFG), Japan’s largest lender, has decided to base their new headquarters in Amsterdam following the UK’s vote to leave the European Union. The Japanese banking unit, MUFG Securities EMEA plc, have circa 600 staff currently based in their London head office, with the plan of moving “several dozen” people to other locations. Along with Amsterdam, MUFG plan to open a branch in Paris, offering a choice to their employees when relocating. With that being said, the bank will continue to operate in London once the contingency plan has been carried out. #SpartanInternational
