CREDIT SUISSE MAKES CUT TO LONDON TEAM – Credit Suisse in an effort to boost their profitability has begun to make cuts to their Senior Investment Banking Teams. As recent as February, 26 Directors & Managing Directors that had responsibility over Mergers & Acquisitions and industry coverage have been let go, according to people close to the matter. London has been the main region for cuts. Credit Suisse was reorganised last year as @Mathew Cestar and Jens Welter became Co-Heads of the Advisory and Origination business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The bank replaced Marisa Drew, who took a new role overseeing Sustainable Finance internally and Mark Echlin who then became Chairman of the investment bank in London. The bank said in a statement “We expect our headcount to increase year-on-year in IBCM EMEA as we continue to invest. The departures year-to-date have been for a number of reasons, including voluntary.” #SpartanInternational
